The smooth painted wood was by far the easiest to do and looked best when done, the raw wood absorbed it and required more product per coat, and on the plastic I thought it might not stick but once it dried it adhered well. I want to turn a reproduction Louis Philippe mirror into a more realistic looking antique and this helped me narrow it down.

There’s this stuff in a little tube that really could live up to the marketing hype of “miracle cream” but it’s not a face product. You can see that the color on the tube is supposed to indicate product color but it’s not accurate enough to help you decide. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I have tried unsuccessfully so far to make RubnBuff stick to metal items…it seems to stick for a minute but then once you buff it buffs right off…Ive tried leaving for a few days and reapplying and it just goes thick and claggy and once again rubs off. Your brush must also be clean, dry, and dense enough with fine bristles (see my brush recommendation linked in the materials list at the top of the post).

I found that the spray paint will also “grab” onto the Rub ‘n Buff and make it adhere to the surface very well.
